My full name is Farah Michele Maizura. I
was born in the year of the rabbit and my zodiac sign is
Pieces. People have said that's where my talent comes
from but i'd like to think that in everything we do
good...its 50% talent and 50% hardwork. I could never
write poems or short stories if I didnt have the
inspiration and exposure to all types of genre. I love
sharing. I have been abuse for that but I don't regret
it. My early education was given to me in England. I followed my father who persued his studies there and i think the best birthday present he gave me was a trip to Stanford-upon-Avon... the birth place of Shakesphere. I was exposed to poems when I was 9..and started writing one at an early age. I came back to Malaysia to futher my secondary high and then decided to futher it in a local u because I had had too much of "overseas air" that i missed being at home. I did my matriculation in PPP/ITM section 17 and boy, I was not in love with Literature then...it was hard. I just couldn't take the burden of analyzing and all that. But there was one thing I remembered most...my literature lecturer's words "There is no right and wrong in literature...it's life experiences of others..if u haven't gone through the same...you would understand it... so... figure it out... how would u get those experiences..." Obviously this meant reading, and reading and reading. So besides writing I love to read...John grisham, Sidney sheldon and Jeffery Archer are my favourites. I love novels with info and history in it. Mainly because I can only concentrate on one subject in life but would love to know more about others (law, politics...power..) On the subject of classics..I love Jane Austen and if you've come across Sense and Sensibility..well I could say that I see the character Mary as me.. When I write, I think most of my poem are about being hurt. Being disposed off from the dreams you have tried to lived up to. I can play the guitar and I write songs...and I guess like my ex-boyfriend used to say "Maybe I should always be mean to you for the sake of world literature" I would also like to take this opportunity to thank
the man that has given me so much inspiration in life and
even though things did not I would also like to thank my friends all down at Waikiki (malaysia)... for the support they have given... Franky, Raymond, Jacintha, Ivan, Moses, James... thank you for hearing me out when I'm down A very special thanks goes out to you Simon...for making my work come alive on the net...I owe a lot of job offerings for that...
